FASE 1 ANALISIS AP2 GA2-240202501 AA2-EV02 "TALKING ABOUT A PLACE OF INTEREST"
Today I am going to tell you about a true paradise on Earth. I want to talk to you about the city where I live and where I want to spend the rest of my life. I am going to talk to you about "The Branch of Heaven," the most beautiful city in Colombia. Cali is a very hot city, almost as hot as Barranquilla, but less hot than Buenaventura. That heat, which accompanies all of us who live here, has become part of our bodies and our hearts. Its skies are a complete rainbow, its nights are the most starry you can imagine, and its people are the happiest you will ever meet.
Cali is a city with a rich colonial and religious history. There are hundreds of churches, but there are two in particular that I really like and that are true icons of the city: I am talking about La Ermita and San Antonio Church. La Ermita is the most undeniable icon of the city and the most well-known church worldwide. However, my favorite is San Antonio, as it stands on a hill of the same name, located in the heart of the city. This place has become the most visited spot for families and lovers. There, you can feel the purest and softest breeze, descending directly from the mountains. La Ermita is completely painted in white and marble, while San Antonio also houses a convent of Benedictine nuns. Definitely, Cali is the most welcoming city in Colombia.
Cali is full of tourist attractions, some more interesting than others. However, the ones that capture my attention the most are the Corridor of the Cats, a collection of sculptures that accompanies the iconic Gato de Tejada along the banks of the Cali River, which flows through the city and gives it a unique charm. Another fascinating place is the small but historic hill where the statue of Sebastián de Belalcázar stands, the founder of “The Branch of Heaven" whose hand points towards the vast Pacific Ocean, as if guiding the city's destiny. Lastly, it is important to mention that Cali is full of museums, with La Tertulia Museum being the most impressive of all, not only for its modern architecture but also for being the city's most outstanding cultural center, featuring exhibitions, cinema, and art.
I believe Cali is one of the cities with the greatest cultural entertainment in the country, and without a doubt, one of the most vibrant and most enriching when it comes to history and art.
Let me invite you to take a walk through this fabulous city by visiting it a little through this video.
